Minimum Requirements
A Bachelor's degree and previous experience working with first year college participants. Study abroad experience required. Candidates with an equivalent combination of experience and/or education are encouraged to apply.
College of Charleston graduate preferred. Must possess knowledge and skills in planning and programming educational events. Work experience in college settings specifically with first year students is a plus.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Must have excellent communication and planning skills. Must have demonstrated leadership, organizational, interpersonal, and public speaking skills. Ability to use Microsoft Office Suite is required. Must be able to work independently.

Attends a week-long training session in August before iCharleston program starts. Attends iCharleston orientation program with participants. Partakes in weekly meetings with iCharleston Director and weekly team meetings throughout the following spring semester.

In charge of appropriate communication between iCharleston participants, their parents and family, and the iCharleston Director. Plans weekly one-on-one meeting with each participant to ensure participant's academic, social, and personal success. Attend weekly meetings with abroad institution. Sends out emails to iCharleston parents as needed and consistent with consent. Creates and sends three newsletters throughout both Fall and Spring semester with program updates throughout the iCharleston program. Updates iCharleston social media platforms connected to the program in appropriate and positive manner.

Arranges and supports faculty/staff programming. Communicates with faculty/staff to ensure needs are met, organizes rooms and meetings at host site, plans cultural activities with iCharleston participants specific to the faculty/staff fields of study/interest. Provides on-campus support to iCharleston participants during academic year. Meet with participants weekly to ensure a successful transition into College of Charleston from their previous institutions. Schedules educational programming throughout the semester for participants, holds open office hours for participant drop-ins, and helps iCharleston Director with any future programming. Must also answer phone calls about the iCharleston program and markets the program at College of Charleston events (i.e. Open Houses, Accepted Student Weekend, Preview Day). Is knowledgeable about legal obligations towards minors and abides by College of Charleston and host institution policies and procedures.

Creates weekly programs to help build affinity towards College of Charleston for iCharleston participants and within each cohort. Builds programs that are both academic and social in nature. Responsible for all facets of program development including planning, dissemination of information to participants, and execution of events.
