Minimum Requirements
Master's degree in clinical or counseling psychology or a closely related field. Three to five years experience working in an outpatient mental health clinic, college counseling center and/or closely related experience is ideal. Candidates with an equivalent combination of experience and/or education are encouraged to apply. Must be licensed to practice independently within their specialty (typically LPC or Psychologist) in SC or be license eligible within two years. Must be familiar with evidence-based psychotherapy interventions. Prior experience with multicultural populations and working within a brief therapy model are preferred.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Familiar with using four bases of skill/knowledge: 1-Individual and group psychotherapy and counseling for adults, families and adolescents using empirically validated interventions within a brief therapy model; 2-Assessment of students in crisis, providing safety planning, goal setting, referral and hospitalization as needed; 3-Programming skills in an area of counseling and development (e.g., women's issues, eating disorders, risk-management, etc.); and 4-Competencies in multi-disciplinary teamwork. Excellent oral, written and computer skills are required. Must be creative, self-motivated, and enjoy working with young adults.
Additional Comments Regarding Position
Some occasional evening and weekend duties. Employee is expected to participate in professional development sufficient to maintain licenses, actively participate in professional organizations and conduct professional activities (i.e., research, presentations and publication) when possible.
This is a position focused on counseling college students, individually and in groups. There is room for you to bring your professional specialization and/or interests which align with evidence-based interventions in the college counseling setting.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
