The Compensation Manager provides strategic thinking and support to ensure compensation programs drive business results and support the overall HR strategy. The Compensation Manager will be responsible for managing compensation initiatives. Performs overall analysis, development and management of corporate compensation rewards programs, benefits programs based on business objectives, market trends, cost effectiveness and competitive practice. Continually evaluates the Companys offerings to ensure they are competitive in the marketplace. Will serve as the companys primary resource for the information, problem solving, and communication as it relates to development for all areas pertaining to compensation. Collaborates with leadership across the organization on major compensation-related initiatives, linking programs to overall compensation philosophy and corporate culture. Manage compensation initiatives, such as annual planning, bonus programs, by developing in-depth project plans and contributing to the design, implementation and communication efforts. Act as a consultant to the HR team to support their decision making for hiring, promotions and annual compensation. Conduct research, analysis and modelling to design competitive and motivational compensation programs that meet business needs and align with corporate goals. Work with HR team to design, evaluate and grade all position descriptions. Participate in industry standard compensation surveys. Conduct in-depth competitive analysis of total rewards programs. Conducts data analysis on HR data such as compensation, classification and/or benefits data as directed. Prepares reports, graphs, charts and statistics as needed. Coordinates schedules and tracks progress of specialized work projects or departmental functions. Manage the total reward strategies and programs that support the business objectives for multiple departments. Responsible for compensation programs and projects including and related to: salary review management, performance review management, market pricing, reporting, benchmarking, salary surveys, leadership presentations, extensive modelling, the implementation of compensation strategic initiatives, and ad-hoc reports. Serve as a project manager by developing specifications for projects, documenting business requirements, proposing solutions, creating project plans and managing steps from design through implementation. Develop and deliver presentations to leadership that consist of total compensation strategic and tactical recommendations. JOB REQUIREMENTS Bachelors degree. 5
years of progressive experience in the analysis and administration of compensation programs. Previous experience with sales, board, and executive compensation strongly desired. Compensation certification strongly desired. Expert MS Office skills in particular: Excel, PowerPoint and Word are required. Knowledge and understanding compensation practices, HR metrics, benefits administration, FMLA, COBRA and HIPAA. Knowledge of human resource information systems (HRIS). Strong organizational skills. Skill in problem solving and decision making. Ability to demonstrate close attention to detail. Excellent listening and communication skills. Strong financial and analytical skills. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
