Education:
BS degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or other engineering related field.
For Software Engineer or computer related degrees only, candidate must be working towards one of the following certifications within one and a half years after assuming duties:
Professional Software Engineering Master (PSEM)/Certified Software Development Professional (CSDP) or with COR approval complete a vendor/platform specific certification (e.

Experience:
Six (6) years of experience in C4ISR related programs, to include:
Systems Analysis, Systems Architecture, Systems/Equipment Integration, Test & Evaluation Criteria, and Logistics support of C4ISR requirements.
Three (3) years of technical experience in support of network, system architecture, and the interoperability of USMC intelligence system collection and analysis platform, development, testing, and implementation of requirements, specific product and systems.
Experience may be achieved simultaneously.
Minimum Secret level Clearance required, can support higher.

Individual will be identified as Cybersecurity Workforce (CSWF) and Cyber IT workforce personnel and shall:
Participating in, preparing for, and conducting program reviews pertaining to Government projects/programs.
Establishing and maintaining a cybersecurity program that covers the following:
security test and evaluation, security assessment documentation, vulnerability management and reporting, RMF assessment and authorization, continuous monitoring, security engineering requirements, and mitigation strategy and resolution.
Perform cybersecurity functions in accordance with DoD 8570.
01-M Information Assurance Workforce and shall meet the IA Designator or IA Level/Position required for the position, e.
g.
, IA Technical (IAT), IA Management (IAM)), Computer Network Defense Service Providers (CND-SPs) or IA System Architects and Engineers (IASAEs).
Providing research and development (R&D) support for the delivery of prototype fielding kits, technical and engineering documentation, and/or technical data packages is preferred.

Job Description:
VNE is seeking an Engineer/Scientist 3 to work in conjunction with Cybersecurity personnel to establish and maintain a Cybersecurity program.
Cybersecurity includes engineering, planning, assessment, and monitoring of security controls.
It also includes the design, development, and documentation of system security to support a specific government requirement.
Must utilize government approved Cybersecurity tools and DoD, Navy, and Marine Corps policies and guidance throughout all tasks.
Shall establish and maintain a Cybersecurity program that installs, configures, calibrates, and maintains a broad spectrum of cybersecurity software suites, tools, and devices/appliances to be used to provide support in the following areas:
Security Testing & Evaluation Security assessment documentation Vulnerability Management, Acknowledgement, and Reporting Assessment & Authorization Process Continuous Monitoring Research and Development Security Engineering Requirements Leadership, Component, and DoD Reporting (via the Marine Corps Certification and Accreditation Support Tool (MCCAST) or other directed system) Mitigation Strategy & Resolution Shall support all efforts under the Risk Management Framework (RMF) and assist with the creation and submission to the Approving Official (AO) (as required and where needed):
