, is currently seeking a Software Tester with a strong Windows Systems Administrator background.
This position is part of a diverse technical team supporting major Naval Messaging programs (e.
g.
, C2OIX, NAVMACS II) of the Naval Information Warfare Center (NIWC) Atlantic.
Successful candidates will work closely with system engineers/developers to design and execute targeted and end-to-end tests validating system functionality.

Pay Scale:
$83,571 - $105,575You Will:
Perform software product testing on Windows- and Linux-based Enterprise networks Work with the development team to reproduce/troubleshoot issues encountered during testing Configure and maintain test environments, including management of VMWare hosts Assist Subject Matter Experts and Technical Writers with documentation efforts (test cases, test reports, software load plans) Track all changes and update documents as required and ensure updated documents are staffed to lead engineer for approval Troubleshoot and document software anomalies and deficiencies Assist in management of project test beds and network devices, including configuration of Linux- and Windows-based test support systems and layer 2 & 3 switches and routers You Have:
US Citizenship The ability to obtain and/or maintain a DoD Top Secret Level Security Clearance Extensive knowledge of Naval Messaging systems and policies/procedures Demonstrated ability to effectively install, configure and administer in a multi-system and/or multi-application environment Strong customer relations, documentation and oral communication skills Self-motivation, a strong work ethic, and commitment to quality Ability to multi-task and balance multiple goals and priorities A passion for learning about, and working in, the IT industry BS Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related computer field, or High School Diploma or GED with appropriate work experience Three (3) years of Naval Messaging Computerized System experience, to include:
Test and Evaluation, Network Protocols, LAN administration fundamentals, and UNIX and Windows based operating system Candidate must satisfy requirements of DoD 8570.
01-M for IAT Level II within six (6) months of assuming duties.
