Responsibilities Employee Onboarding and Offboarding:
Administers the on-boarding and off-boarding processes for colleagues to ensure compliance and a positive experience throughout the employment life cycle (new-hire paperwork, compliance documents, I-9's, exit packets, job changes, etc.

Administration of the I-9 process, documentation review and processing E-Verify ensuring compliance with regulations.
Employee Relations:
Act as a point of contact for colleague inquiries, concerns, and conflict resolution.
Partners with the People & Culture Manager to review and audit payroll.
Request, review, and coordinate changes to colleague status made by others outside of the Department.
Ensure accurate setup of colleague payroll deductions, such as parking stipends, to guarantee seamless and error-free processing of financial transactions.
Provide advisement to payroll specialist for payroll adjustments to ensure accurate payroll results for colleague data changes.
Coordinate the Colleague and Manager of the Month program, overseeing the nomination process, organizing recognition events, and ensuring a smooth and inclusive program implementation.
HR Policy and Compliance:
Stay abreast of labor laws and regulations, ensuring company policies and practices are compliant.
Contribute to the development and maintenance of HR policies and procedures.
High ethical standards and the ability to make fair and unbiased decisions.
Understanding and appreciation of cultural diversity in the workplace.
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and integrity.
Other duties as assigned.
Culture Enhancement:
Promote a positive work environment and contribute to the development of colleague engagement initiatives.
Contribute to the development and execution of initiatives that enhance company culture.
Foster a diverse and inclusive workplace environment.
Learning and Development:
Partner with the Director of Learning and Development for programming training, the onboarding process for new colleagues and general tasks to support learning efforts on property.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration or related field or equivalent training and experience in a People and Culture/HR role.
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in Human Resources, preferably within the hospitality industry.
Experience with Workday preferred.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Strong knowledge of HR principles, employment legislation, and best practices.
Professional certifications such as Professional in Human Resources (PHR) preferred.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive situations with tact and diplomacy.
Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of the luxury and quality environment within a hotel setting, including a nuanced appreciation for upscale hospitality standards and guest experiences.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Thorough understanding of human resources and labor relations principles, practices, and procedures.
Ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with colleagues, leadership, and other stakeholders.
Working understanding of statistical concepts and methods of data collection.
Ability to compile, research, and analyze information.
Ability to compose and present comprehensive reports.
Ability to acquire a thorough understanding of the organization's hierarchy, jobs, qualifications, compensation practices, and the administrative practices related to those factors.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
