This position is located at 2100 Charlie Hall Boulevard, Charleston, SC 29414.
This position is for a Mental Health Therapist to serve children and their families in accordance with a contract between the Charleston County School District (CCSD) and Charleston Dorchester Mental Health Center (CDMHC). Our clinicians provide advanced, comprehensive mental health assessments and clinical interventions to promote individualized patient recovery. Sessions include individual, family, and group therapy using a full array of Evidence-Based Practices tailored to the individual's needs and preferences. Outcome measures are also completed at regular intervals to ensure an accurate level of care. We seek compassionate individuals who are driven to provide outstanding care to those we serve.
Our organization also provides outpatient psychiatric and nursing services, so clinicians will act as part of a multidisciplinary team. Services are primarily provided in the school but are also provided in home, clinic, and community settings, as well as via telehealth when appropriate. There may be limited opportunities to integrate telecommuting as well, when appropriate, such as when school is not in session.
Therapists are responsible for documenting services in a timely manner using an Electronic Medical Record system. All necessary technology will be provided.
CDMHC and the South Carolina Department of Mental Health have an unsurpassed commitment to ongoing learning and professional development. Clinical staff receive thorough training at orientation as well as opportunities for ongoing training and support, including CEUs whenever possible. Regular individual and team supervision is also provided.
In addition to our exceptional benefits package detailed below, employees in good standing can access opportunities to receive clinical supervision toward all levels of licensure in Counseling and Social Work at no charge.
Our organization is committed to service to our community, and staff members have many opportunities to participate in community events and presentations to reduce stigma and increase awareness of mental health. For those wanting to make a difference in individual's lives and the surrounding communities of the Lowcountry, there is no better place to practice in the mental health field.
