Job Description:
Systems programmer responsible for the IBM Z114 mainframe and related peripheral hardware and software products
Key responsibilities are as follows:
Should possess strong knowledge in Z/OS internals, JES2, CICS and TCP/IP basics.
Work experience in SMP/E maintenance process desirable.
Strong problem determination and debugging skill set.
Must have demonstrated program product experience with the following:
RACF
DSF
IDCAMS
RMF
DB2 Utilities
DFSORT
DITTO
QMF
DFDSS
Understand Catalogs structure
REXX
Experience with the following Vendor products will be added advantage
Vendor - FDR
Levi Ray Shoup - DRS, VPS
SEA - TAPE 2000
SEA - $AVRS
Chicago Soft - MVS Quick Ref
Mackinney Systems - CICS/CEMT
Compuware - Xpeditor
Control the work flow on the systems through job queues, subsystems and output queues.
Hands on experience on user id creation and printer configuration.
Experience as a DB2DBA with the following skills:
In-depth knowledge of DB2 utilities such as LOAD, UNLOAD, RUNSTAT, REORG, COPY, MERGECOPY, and MODIFY.
Should possess strong knowledge and hand-on experience in creating tables, altering the table, creating indexes, GRANT and with performance tuning of SQL's.
Candidate must have excellent communication skills.
Interact and coordinate work with System Administrators, fellow team members to support various project requests.
