Technology Analyst
Location: Charleston, SC
Technology Strategy & Architecture : Deliver Technology Advisory and Implementation solutions that extract and maximize business value from IT investments. Encompasses architecture, engineering, and operations services for the IT strategy, innovation, operations, and infrastructure required to deliver efficient and effective platforms fundamental to business success.
Position description:
Candidate will provide technical assistance as a delivery practitioner within assigned project with responsibility for conducting assessments for new and existing systems, applications and programs to help identify transition requirements, solutions, and risks. The primary role will be to provide implementation assistance with delivery solutions, including WAN, LAN, MAN, Wireless, Internet, MPLS, SaaS, PaaS, IaaS, Cloud Management and others.
The candidate will interact with clients and vendors to gather requirements and review solutions to ensure requirements are being addressed in proposed solutions. The candidate will be responsible for documenting those requirements and working with the team (customer, vendors, and internal engineers) to design, develop and deploy technology implementations that meet the client-s requirements and maximize the availability of those systems.
This role is responsible for assisting with the integration of IT systems development with policies and information strategies. It also has responsibility for developing, maintaining, and publishing information technology standards, procedures, and guidelines. The role also provides technical guidance and training to users, and designs and implements programs for user awareness, compliance monitoring and management.
Required Skills:

years of relevant technology architecture consulting or industry experience.

years of experience gathering business requirements, providing vision and thought leadership.
Bachelor's degree required; Bachelor of Science in Engineering or Computer Science preferred.
A willingness to travel to client locations.
Preferred Skills:
- 2
years of prior consulting experience, preferably in a Big 4 environment
- Experience in information architecture, engineering, or systems integration.
- Fluent with Ruby and/or Python (both languages preferred)
- Understanding of network protocols like RIP, OSPF, BGP, ISIS, etc.
- Understanding of core network services like sendmail, DNS, DHCP, SSH, http, etc.
- Keen understanding of Kerberos and/or Active Directory and UNIX.
- Strong working experience working with the following security technologies: access and identity management solutions, IDS/IPS, digital certificates, encryption and authentication.
- Ability to develop and deliver end user training.
- One or more of the following certifications: Security+, Linux+, RHCT, MCP, MCSE, CCNA, CCNP, CPT, CEH, CIWSA, CISSP, CISM, CEH, GIAC. GCIH, IAM, ISSAP, ISSEP, ISSMP
In addition, candidates will also have the following preferred skills:
Ability to work both independently and within a team.
Strong oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills (MS Visio, MS PowerPoint).
Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to exercise mature judgment.
An advanced degree in the area of specialization is preferred.
Clearance:

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
