Criminal Law Paralegel/Legal Assistant
A growing Charleston area law firm with THREE locations is looking for a paralegal with Criminal law experience.
DAY TO DAY
Responsibilities:
Manage & work all criminal files from opening to closing
File necessary paperwork with courts: discovery requests, bond motions, etc. Correspond with clients regularly regarding the status of their cases
Clearly communicate actions needed to be taken by clients including their responsibilities and deadlines
Maintain organized filing system
Qualifications:
2
years experience in criminal law
4
years experience in law firm setting
Experience with personal injury a plus
Excellent organization, time management and excellent verbal and written communication skills
Must be able to prioritize and manage time effectively
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Proven record of strong attention to detail
Computer skills
Type 50
wpm
Able to discern and use discretion with sensitive matters
