Tooling Engineer


Our client is one of the largest manufacturers of outdoor power products. They are also one of the world leaders in equipment and tools for diamond and stone industries. We are in search of Tooling Engineer talent to fulfill these roles that are open due to business growth. The Tooling Engineers will use lean strategies to improve process flow and reduce cost and assume ownership of projects from conception through implementation.
Duties and
Responsibilities:
oImprove operational efficiency
oInnovate and develop new standard operational tools to reduce production cost
oWork cross-functionally to develop fixture and tooling poka yoke to improve quality
oCoordinate new tool and process pilot testing
oResponsible for standard tool design including stamping and forming tools
oTroubleshoot tool performance and make recommendations for preventive or predictive measures to enhance tool life or performance
Educational Requirements:
oBachelors; Engineering or related discipline
Experience Required:o5
years in a high volume manufacturing environment
oStrong problem-solving and analytical skills
oDemonstrated leadership of manufacturing process transformations
oAbility to work cross-functionally with demonstrated success
oCapable of managing simultaneous projects with multiple priorities and meet critical deadlines in a fast-paced environment
oKnowledge of lean methodologies
Experience Preferred:oMetal stamping and supervision of automated systems
oWorking knowledge of 2D/3D design software
oExperience implementing and leading lean strategies to improve performance
Other:oExcellent oral and written communication
oDemonstrated working knowledge of MS Office Suite and AutoCAD
oAbility to work off-shifts as needed to support process or projects
oSome travel requiredEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
