Production Planner


Summary:
The primary responsibility of this position is to plan and implement production schedules utilizing SAP/ECC6 to fulfill customer requirements with respect to meeting JIT/JIS requirements and delivery functions. The person in this position will interface with both internal and external customers on a daily basis while simultaneously monitoring finished goods inventory levels for their respective value stream.

Responsibilities:
Responsible for all customer communication and satisfaction in regard to finished goods delivery
Monitors customer EDI and advanced shipping notice transmissions
Creates production schedule to ensure customer deliveries are met and safety stock is achieved
Keeps management informed of issues that impact schedules, deliveries, and capacity
Coordinates engineering changes to support customer needs while minimizing obsolescence
Establishes daily communication channels with customers, shipping, manufacturing, materials, and third party logistics partners
Works to continually improve flow to achieve improved cycle times, inventory levels, and improved quality
Recommends and monitors finished goods inventory levels and accuracy
Contributes to continuous improvement in lean manufacturing practices
Works with cross functional group to improve processes and flow
Assists in all inventory activities
Assumes special assignments as directed by supervisor or management

REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum of 2 years of college education
Experience working in a manufacturing environment
General knowledge of Logistical processes
Experience in capacity planning and inventory control
Familiarity with SAP/ECC6 ERP system
Strong computer skills with MS office programs
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing concepts

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
