Summary:
Receives and relays telephone and fax information in an accurate, timely and professional manner. Returns telephone and fax inquiries in an accurate, timely and professional manner. Contacts practice representatives with problems encountered with specimens/lab orders for a quick resolution and follow-up. Assists with other laboratory clerical duties.
Minimum
Qualifications:
Education: High School diploma or GED required.
Experience: Knowledge of medical laboratory terminology and protocols required. Data entry computer experience desired.
Licensure/Certification: Not applicable
Knowledge/Skills: Maintains knowledge of and complies with established policies and procedures (includes OSHA-Blood borne Pathogen Standard, OSHA-Hazardous Chemical Communication Standard, and Clinical Laboratory Improvement Act). Assures a clean and safe business office, including treatment rooms, kitchen and restroom. Maintains strict confidentiality of work related and sensitive information at all times.
