Program Assistant

The ideal candidate will also have the capability to support Academy accreditation through the Federal Law Enforcement Training Accreditation (FLETA) Board. Duties include, but are not limited to:
Reviewing information and applying knowledge of the FPPA and Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC) policies and procedures, budget, equipment, travel, and other applicable guidelines and practices to ensure compliance in training related matters. Maintaining automated systems for official student training records to include transcripts and other pertinent data and report to PPSO and academy management, district courts, and other internal and external stakeholders as needed for future planning or for preparing periodic and special reports. Serving as a point of contact for the Initial Probation and Pretrial Training (IPPT) program for routine training and development matters as directed by PPSO and academy management. Preparing electronic and hard copy training materials related to course curricula to support instructors in the delivery of training. Serving as a backup for administrative and procurement staff as assigned. Maintaining electronic student scheduling program for academy training records and serving a as point of contact for student training registration and travel coordination. Maintaining and reconciling training and travel records and processing invoices, via electronic applications, e.g., Judicial Information Financial Management System (JIFMS), Judicial Electronic Travel System (JETS), and FLETC electronic systems. Operating Microsoft Office programs to include Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and other software programs as needed. Administering all logistics planning and preparation for meetings, including scheduling, mailings, travel, and special events. Any and all other duties as assigned. This requirement is according to the AO Classification, Compensation, and Recruitment Systems which include interpretive guidance and reference to the OPM Operating Manual for Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions. Experience:
Applicants must have at least one year (52 weeks) of specialized experience which is in or directly related to the line of work of this position. Specialized experience is demonstrated experience performing administrative duties.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
